ACYBA for years has fielded Senior League teams for players 16-19 years old who wish to continue playing baseball during the summer.
Some ACYBA players will be invited to play on either the Armstrong or Cooper VFW team their first year in High school. VFW participation is by invitation only and is limited to players born after June 1, 2000. Both Armstrong and Cooper have VFW teams.
players who are born after January 1, 1998 may play American Legion during the summer, if they are invited by the Legion team. Armstrong Has an American Legion team. Cooper does not, Note for 2017 Cooper has a Junior American Legion team.
For all players not playing VFW or American Legion ACYBA offers Senior League Baseball. The Senior League plays in the MYAS program against other senior league teams.
Many high schools that do not have an affiliation with a VFW or American Legion and communities where there are insufficient numbers, form Senior League teams.
ACYBA is fortunate to have a strong Senior League program and has had success in the MYAS Senior League.
If you are over 15 years old and want to keep playing baseball, you are able to do so on an ACYBA senior league team.
