Field Locations

General Field Maintenance

Coaches, Team Managers, Players and Parents:

ACYBA shares all fields with other leagues.  How a field looks after your team uses it reflects directly on our league and can make a difference to our access to that field in the future.

Remove everything from the dugouts, bleachers, cages and other areas of the field after each practice or game. Dispose of trash in the provided containers or take it with you.

Unless another team is waiting to take the field after your practice or game, cover the pitching mound, place all other covers and store bases, as needed, for the particular field. Uncovered mounds are easily damaged by rain and sprinkler systems and may result in game cancellations for us and other organizations. 

Please Note: All fields listed have specific maintenance and equipment instructions listed.  Please follow the instructions regarding keys, etc.

Crystal Fields

Mike Smothers Memorial

6000 Regent Avenue N

Smothers is North of Bass Lake Road at the end of Regent Avenue. Follow Bass Lake Road to the east from County Road 81 approximately 3/4 mile to Regent Avenue and turn left (North). Follow Regent Avenue through the residential area. At the end of Regent are the baseball field signs. Park on the gravel through the gate to the left of the signs identifying the field.

Smothers Field is the home of ACYBA and exclusively maintained by us and is full-size with 2 batting cages.

Maintenance Notes:

  • The key to open and lock the gate is in the lockbox on the right field fence.
  • Equipment and bases are stored in the shed behind the backstop which also has a lockbox.
  • Field preparation (base installation, grooming and chalking) is the responsibility of the coaches. 
  • Clean-up includes storing the bases, covering the mound, grooming the field and locking the gate. 

Bassett Creek Park

6001 32nd Avenue N

The field is east of Douglas Drive on the south side of 32nd Avenue at approximately Yates Avenue.

The main parking lot is on the south side of 32nd at Yates; a smaller lot is between Brunswick Avenue and Adair Avenue; parking in the street near the field is subject to foul balls.

Maintenance Notes:

  • The keys for the JobBox and warming house are in the lockbox attached to the backstop.
  • Bases are stored in the JobBox behind the backstop.
  • Other equipment is stored in the warming house at the top of the hill on the far side of the main parking lot.
  • Field preparation (base installation, grooming and chalking) is the responsibility of the coaches. 
  • Clean-up includes storing the bases, covering the mound, and grooming the field. 

North Lions Park

6100 Kentucky Avenue N

The left field corner is on the southeast side at the intersection of 62nd Avenue and Louisiana Avenue.

The main parking lot is on the east side of Louisiana between 62nd and 61st; another parking lot is on the opposite side of the park at the north end of Jersey Avenue.

Golden Valley Fields

Sandburg Fields

2400 Sandburg Lane
Golden Valley, MN 55427 

The fields are on the east side of Sandburg Learning Center.

Park on the street or in the West (and main) parking lot of Sandburg Learning Center.  The school district has requested no parking in the lot closest to the fields. 

SUTTON Field is the closest field to Sandburg Lane.  this is a full size lighted field with 2 batting cages. 

TAPPER Field is North of Sutton, away from Sandburg Lane. Tapper is a full size field and past the concessions/equipment building. 

Maintenance Notes

Bases and equipment are stored in the building near Tapper. The key is in the lockbox near the building.

Field preparation (base installation, grooming and chalking) is the responsibility of the coaches.

Clean-up includes storing the bases, covering the mound, and grooming the field.

 

New Hope Fields

New Hope Lighted

49th Avenue N and Ensign Avenue N (west of Boone Avenue on the north side of 49th).

Park in the lot near Decatur Avenue and walk down the Left Field line to enter the field.

Full-size with lights and 1 batting cage.

Plymouth Fields

Zachary 5

When approaching the baseball fields along the left path from the parking lot, Zachary 5 is past the concession building on the right. 

Intermediate-size with lights. Plymouth New Hope Little League has priority for the 2 batting cages in the complex.

Zachary Playfield

Zachary 6

Zachary 6 is separate from the other fields to the north. Follow the right path from the parking lot, past the playground and the pond. The field is on the left.

Robbinsdale Fields

Lee Park

3738 Lee Avenue N
Robbinsdale, MN 55422

Lee Park is North of 36th Avenue on the East side of Lee Avenue.

The entrance to the small parking lot for the Minnesota Twins MLB All-Star Field is at the corner of 37th and Lee.  Street parking is available in the neighborhood; please respect the "Resident Parking Only" signs.

This flexible field has all artificial turf, pegs for 3 base paths and 2 portable mounds.

Use Regulations:

  • No food, gum, sunflower seeds
  • No drinks other than plain water
  • Use only shoes with non-metal cleats
  • Properly dispose of any waste
  • No animals on field

Maintenance Notes:

  • Return the mound to its locked storage
  • Bases may remain on the field

Lakeview Terrace Park

3769 Crystal Lake Boulevard
Robbinsdale, MN 55422

Lakeview Terrace Park is located at the intersection of County Road 81/Bottineau Boulevard and 36th Avenue N/Lakeland Avenue N.

Scanlon Field is the baseball field closest to County Road 81/Bottineau Boulevard.

Parking is available off both 81/Bottinueau (limited spots and a short walk) and Lakeland Avenue (main lot and a walk from the outfield along the right field line)
